Handwriting
In year 3 we encourage the children to use cursive handwriting. We concentrate on forming our letters correctly, making sure our letters are the right size compared to one another and ensuring that they sit in the right place on the line. We will also begin to join more and more letters together.
If you want to practise writing at home with your child you could practise writing these letters on ordinary lined paper or a note pad. You could even practise writing the letters as part of words or sentences. It is a good idea to practise the children's spellings using correctly formed letters too.
