YEAR 2 INFORMATION

Year 2 rules and routines. Below are some key things you will need to know:

PE:  Our PE days are Tuesday and Friday.                                            

Please make sure that children come in to school dressed in their PE kit.

Reading: Children are encouraged to read to be a adult daily. Comments can be recorded in their yellow reading diaries. In school, children will read twice a week as part of their phonics reading sessions and will also read 1:1 with adults regularly. 

Spellings: We have weekly spellings tests on a Monday. The children will have their spellings sent home at the beginning of each half term and these follow the Little Wandle spelling programme.

Extra Info: The children must bring a water bottle into school each day with their name clearly labelled.

All clothing should be clearly labelled with names. If you ever lose anything, please check the lost property box by the playground door on the right.

Please make sure that children have suitable clothing for the weather.

KS1 SATs are no longer compulsory for schools to complete. We will still use the resources provided at the end of the summer term to aid teacher assessment judgements.
